[Oct. 15, 2008 -- Moderator's Comment: The video below is in no way an endorsement of Dell or its products. Our goal is to encourage discussion between digital nomads to share their best thinking on mobility.]
Some of the world’s most frequent travelers are rock stars. Dave Stewart, English musician (think The Eurythmics and Annie Lennox) and record producer, is no stranger to airports, buses and airplanes, and yet, his views on technology go beyond how it is used while traveling.
A true digital nomad, in this video Dave discusses the use of technology in the making of music and more.

I love Dave Stewart. This guy is rad! How did you get him to participate?
by Eliot / August 27, 2008
I think Dave was one of the first musicians to use the Internet for his music–if I’m not mistaken. He was ahead of his time, and now on time.
by Alexander Pestrak / August 27, 2008
The videos you have on this site are really pretty great. Where are you getting them? What is Big Think?
by Sean / August 28, 2008
Big Think is a new media website that features video interviews with today’s top thought leaders. Please visit http://www.bigthink.com to learn more. And stay tuned! We are relaunching the site with exciting new features, including a social network for people who like big ideas, next month. Thanks, Sean (exec. editor)

I think this is a video is for all filmmakers wanting to distribute their films
via the internet, It’s hard to believe that we’re just now getting up to speed with guys like this.
and now there is a butch of us the future is exciting for indie film distribution.
I have a site that promotes green distribution using high quality streaming video with no
buffer, and a built in pay/per/view. I’m working with The Filmmakers Channel a great network for filmmakers.
we are building a site for Blue Steel Productions that going to be the martialarts-channel.com
for martial art teacher to stream video from even indie martial art films. you can get to my site
three different ways big-window-video.com - filmmakershelp.com - melonmountain.com

Take off your sunglasses, rock star.Your sunglasses make you look sooo cool.
by Carl. / September 20, 2008
This interview was worthwhile and moved me toward a place where I understood that WE ARE COMMUNICATING as a species. Let’s keep it up. And everyone should see “My American Dream” after that, the next video in the youTube Nomad Series lineup.

Not so much a digital nomad as a bloke who stays at home and uses the internet. Cultural engineer? Oh, please…
by irked in socal / September 25, 2008
I am SOOO tired of seeing this sunglass pushing, ring toting, head tossing idiot, I’m completely ready to puke all over whatever you are trying to sell. And believe me I’m not about to look at what that is. GET SOMEONE ELSE!!!! Mr. Sort-of cultural engineer is a waste of air–yes I listened, and no I wasn’t sold, I was aghast! Aghast that anyone would prop this moron up to sell anything. Aghast that you would waste everyone’s CPU on a flash video without even an opt-in click. This campaign of yours is a waste of bandwidth and CPU. And the only thing it accomplishes is pissing people off. Get rid of it!

Super cool totally one of my favorites

I could be wrong, but this video and this site are attempts at indirect market or murk marketing or whatever you want to call it. In this case, it’s Dell. It’s kind of like you aren’t even supposed to realize what’s going on and your subconscious is supposed to take in the little trimmings here and there that say, “powered by Dell.” It’s also why it’s playing on appleinsider.com, because they chose to advertise there so as to grab curious applers and get them back to a Dell again. Anyone else think so?
by Terry Tibbs / October 7, 2008
What an arse!
I really wish I didn’t find him such a blowhard. I’ve always been a fan of the Eurythmics.
